Welcome to the official website for Stroll On! And The Vanguards. We are, as you must have guessed, two incarnations of the same act.

The name Stroll On! is derived from the Country band ‘Stroller’ that we worked together in during the ‘90s. We put together a Country show to begin with, then started to develop material that we felt would be appropriate for private functions and corporate events as well as the club and festival circuit we have worked over the years.

We decided to go back to the music that started the ball rolling for both of us, back in the late fifties and through the sixties, when most of the best popular music came from this side of the Atlantic, and the melodies were fresh and strong. Thus ‘The Vanguards’ was born.

We are two very seasoned performers that sound like a full band, having recorded all our own backing. We have been around a long time, and can still reach the high notes. (Well, nearly all of them.) You should be listening to us now. This is exactly how we sound live, and no, we do not mime!

The response to the ‘60s material has been extremely enthusiastic. We can cater for a wide variety of events and sizes of venue.  Unlike a band, whose volume is governed by the presence of a live drummer, we can perform at just the right level for any venue, occasion and audience, a fact that is often remarked on, and greatly appreciated.
